Witnessing Tool – A deeper look into Hebrew Names

new-sprout-in-dirt   How many of you have tried witnessing to others about the Qodesh Names only to feel disappointed when you walk away? I too have been there and done that many times. You and I get it! We understand that Names have meaning and that they are very significant. Yet so many others simply don’t get it. Sure at first they seem curious, having a real interest. Only after a few hours later they walk away with the excuse “Well He knows my heart and I worship Him in my heart, plus I speak English!” only to continue living in the deception!

We walk away with a deep wonder will that seed take root? Did I somehow mess this up? Did I not explain myself good enough? Then we start if only I said that or said this.  All the would of, could of, should of, done different scenes start replaying in our minds!  Come on now, I know you’ve been there also am I right? The truth is we’ve all done it.

After much consideration, I think the following will help us describe how important the meaning of names are. Actually, I find this information quite fascinating as I know any Scriptural student will also. I think this could be used in outreach work. I hope you are blessed by it also.

Before we begin it is very important to understand that everything in the Scriptures has a reason with a purpose. Sometimes we might think something doesn’t matter but in reality it does. How many of you have skipped through those hard names? Come on now admit it? I’m guilty of it also. Well did you know that even those names have meaning and purpose? Here let me explain. The following information is very fascinating and will actually blow your socks off. If our socks can be blown off think of what this information can do for those we are trying witness to.

Just looking at the first nine generations of men in the Scriptures which are; Adam, Seth, Enos, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamach and Noah, we find that all these men names have meanings. For instance, Adam means man. Seth means appointed. Enos means mortal. Cain means sorrow. Mahalalee means the blessed El. Jared means descended, shall come down. Enoch means to instruct, teach to train up. Methuselah means his death shall bring. Lamech means the despairing and Noah’s name means comfort rest. Separately they have their own meaning but when put together they mean so much more. Now let us put these together…

Adam – Man
Seth – Appointed
Enosh – Mortal
Kenan – Sorrow
Mahalalel – The blessed El
Jared – Shall come down
Enoch – Teaching
Methuselah – His death shall bring
Lamech – Despairing
Noah – Comfort and rest

“Man appointed to moral sorrow. The blessed El shall descend that is to come down to instruct or teach. Through His death shall bring the despairing comfort or rest!”

Now isn’t that amazing? I mean are you having a total WOW moment right about now? Oh HalleluYAH! Praise be to Yahuwah. Clearly, the first nine generations in the Scriptures, their names, when put together, tells the greatest story of all time, YAHUSHUA!

And some claim that the Scriptures is just a book. No way, as Yahushua is all through the Tanak! Next time you are witnessing to someone about how important the names are and they don’t quite get it pass them this seed!
